Congratulations Paula! Paula captured an easy-going seamless photo in the studio with perfect lighting and a comfort from the model that really shows through. By using lighting and angles, she used the shadows to her advantage to create a light on one half of the models face and stretch the models legs just right. Paula took this photo at our Studio Portraiture- Learn How to Manipulate Light Class on August 26th, 2012.

Sure a play on words, but completely true! Just like a cell phone with no memory card, a DSLR camera with no memory card pretty much means you are taking a mental photo in your head through your lens because there is nothing saving it for you to review. So, no memory card… no point really! That is why the size, the brand, and the tips on memory cards are more important than you think. Here are the important things to keep in mind when buying a memory card. #1 Know whether your camera takes an SD memory card or CompactFlash memory card. Easiest way? Check the owner’s manual or a quick online search will do! *NOTE: MicroSD cards are not interchangeable with SD memory cards. *NOTE: If you camera uses SD cards, when you go to the store you will notice there are SD and SDHC cards. Nearly all SD-compatible cameras sold today accept both SD and SDHC cards, so either will work. LEARN 2, 3, & 4 plus Where to Get Them Congratulations Rob Andrew!
